KPV is a three-amino-acid fragment of alpha-MSH

KPV is the Lys-Pro-Val C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Research interest centres on inflammatory signalling, epithelial transport and experimental colitis.

A 2008 paper examined KPV in two mouse models of intestinal inflammation and reported changes in weight recovery, histology and myeloperoxidase activity. These are animal-model outcomes, not human clinical endpoints.

Evidence should become more specific as a claim becomes more consequential.

Mechanisms help define questions, not answers

Human-derived epithelial cell lines have been used to examine NF-κB signalling, chemokine secretion and cellular uptake. These systems are useful for isolating pathways but lack the complexity of an intact person.

The PepT1 transport work and bronchial-cell experiments used specific cultured cells and stimulation conditions. A pathway observed in vitro does not establish an oral, topical or injectable treatment effect.

The direct human evidence gap is explicit

FDA reports no identified human exposure data for drug products containing KPV and insufficient information to characterize whether it would cause harm.

The available evidence cannot establish human efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, dose or route. It also cannot support a personalized anti-inflammatory protocol or claims about a fixed blend containing KPV.
